Linden & hydrangeas

The Linden trees are really growing and I think we got the little buggers (the aphids) before they created too much damage. I so love these Linden trees.

The hydrangeas are doing well too. But I do detect a blue hydrangea here and there. I’m sure I ordered only pink ones. Is it the soil or did we get some ‘others’???

From what I understand, traditional hydrangeas are pink or blue based on the acidity (or some other aspect) of the soil. They are great to cut and dry out when they are done blooming. We are making progress on our spring here-- finally! Some of the trees are blooming, as are daffodils and tulips. We had to give my son his allergy medication for the first time this season (he usually has to be on it for 4-6 weeks). Hurray for spring!!
